About Gatherilla

Built by a team manager who got tired of spending hours creating quizzes that got stale after a few weeks.

The Problem

When our founder Tom joined his team, he walked into a problem most managers have experienced. Some people just never spoke up — quiet in meetings, quiet on Slack. Different roles, like developers and testers, were working against each other instead of with each other.

So he tried what many of us have experimented with: a 30-minute team hangout every week. Just a quiz, nothing fancy. After a few weeks, something started shifting. Communication improved. People who'd barely spoken to each other were suddenly having conversations. It was working.

The Real Challenge

But quizzes on their own get stale. As anyone who's run a weekly team activity knows, the novelty wears off. And each week became a burden — either spending far too long creating something new, or trawling the internet for tools that were either too complicated or just not fun.

What was actually needed was for the team to connect meaningfully every week — without it feeling forced, and without anyone having to do the setup. Zero friction. Just: "Hey, let's play something" — and it works.

The Solution

That's why Gatherilla exists. A free team engagement platform with a growing library of activities, all built with three goals in mind:

Zero Preparation

No content to create, no setup to manage. Pick a game and play.

Simple Enough to Skip Instructions

Every game is intuitive. Your team can jump in without a walkthrough.

Real Engagement

Activities designed to get people talking, laughing, and connecting.

Why It Matters

This isn't just about having fun — although that matters too. Gallup studied 230 organisations across 73 countries and found that companies with engaged, connected teams are 23% more profitable. That's not a soft culture stat — that's the bottom line.

If you've ever felt the benefit of your team actually knowing each other — but don't have the time to make it happen — that's exactly the problem Gatherilla solves.

What We Offer

Gatherilla is free to use, with a growing library of multiplayer games covering icebreakers, trivia, estimation, visual puzzles, and creative guessing. Beyond group activities, there's a daily morning challenge with a live leaderboard — giving your team a conversation starter every day.

For teams that want even more, premium unlocks additional activities and features for less than the price of a pack of gum per team member per month.
